Axel TWO Barcelona 4 Sup - Adults Only

The location and neighbourhood is great. Away from touristy zones but plenty of public transportation options to access the city centre. When you’re tired of La Rambla, the more local favourites like Sant Antoni and Ninot market is within walking distance. The room the spacious and comfortable, I got a sunny unit with a balcony the opens up to the Main Street. Good security, hotel entrance is only accessible by key card past midnight and the reception is mostly attended by friendly. The room comes with a kettle and a good hair dryer. Highly recommend this hotel.

The location was absolutely perfect — just a few minutes’ walk to the metro station, which made getting around the city incredibly easy. It’s also very close to Plaça d’Espanya, one of the main squares in Barcelona, and surrounded by plenty of supermarkets and convenience stores. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a well-thought-out layout. The amenity kits had everything we needed, and the breakfast offered a wide range of options, both sweet and savory. The staff was always smiling, very welcoming, and went out of their way to help whenever needed.

I originally booked the Axel Two for a weekend in early May but due to a personal emergency couldn't make it. The team at Axel were so accommodating and moved my booking to June so that I could enjoy a weekend in Barcelona. Thank you, you turned a sad moment into some amazing life long memories. 🙏🏽 🥹 The stay was exactly what I needed. The hotel is conveniently located in the Eixample (prenounced eh-SHAM-plah) area of Barcelona within walking distance to all gay clubs, bars, and attractions. Disclaimer, I am an avid walker, so walking distance is anything less than 30-45 min on foot. The room was nicely appointed and decently sized. The only drawback is that my room faced an apartment building with balconies, so for privacy reasons, I kept the curtains closed almost the whole time. 😬. The staff was so helpful. The pool bar attendant, Daniel, is a sweetheart and compliments everyone when they come upstairs for the first time. Although the drinks themselves were sometimes questionably mixed, they were always served with a smile and laugh and at the end of the day, that's more important. He kept the mood and vibes positive and happy! The pool and deck are a great place to hangout but bring coverups because it gets really hot up there. There is very little shade and the deck surface can be blistering. The pool is a definite respite from the heat. Expect to meet folks from all over the world at the pool, it's like an inclusive United Nations up there. In summary, I will be staying there again the next time I'm in Barcelona. 🌈 💕

Comfortable room, good location, "hetero-friendly". The staff is excellent. Room layout is interesting but mostly works. Essentially, the wet area is separated from the main area by a one-way mirror and a close rack that serves as an open closet. The hotel is about one block from a subway station and walking distance to the gothic center and the Passeig de Gracia. Tons of little restaurants, cafes, bakeries, and grocery stores in the immediate vicinity.
